The throwdown showdown

Wife realized we don't actually need a van, we just need a smaller stroller (!!!). Personally I'm kind of indifferent since I daily the V60.

Anyway the showdown begins. The Contenders:

Honda Pilot Touring: its a Honda!
Ford Explorer Platinum: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PI_Jl5WFQkA
Mazda CX9: looks good and probably actually drives well...so there is that.
Acura MDX: because it is the default choice for UMC suburban yuppies.
Odyssey: it has power sliding doors and I won't give two shits if it gets scratched or something.

Out of those four my heart wants the Explorer (only if I can get with the 3.5 Ecoboost though, if its one of the other motors then no thank you) but my brain says Odyssey is the safe choice.

Let the battle commence. :)

MDX. Nice interior. Excellent performance. OK looks. Honda reliability and resale.

How about a Toyota Highlander? Or it isn't sporty enough?

Nothing could be more boring. Its also on the small side of 3 row crossovers. So why not just buy a van in that case...

What about a Ford Flex? I drove lots of them as rentals and as a company vehicle and really like it. I called a Mini on steroids.

So would you be selling the GLK?  How has it been the 5 years?  Do you need more room than the GLK?  For me that vehicle is perfect for a family of 4.  Are you doing any towing? Looking at new only?  Budget?

Tahoe /thread.

I check weekly on Trader on Kijiji, and the used market is pretty slim on Tahoe's and Yukon's (2010-2013).  Especially with the tow package.  Still about 2 years away, but just trying to get an indicator.
