This and the new golf are the best compacts for 2014.

I think the front is (obviously) much better than the previous generation, and I like the rear as well.

However, the profile, especially the sport, looks bland. I've always liked how the Mazda 3 stood out from the competition by looking a little different, a little more aggressive. I'm not seeing this from the 2014 redesign. Don't get me wrong. I like the design, but I just wished they pushed the envelope a bit.

Interested to see how the new Speed will look...

Just hoping that the rake on the front window isn't to extreme. I'm finding ingress and egress difficult for taller folks.
Otherwise I like the direction Mazda is going, kind of Mazda 6 miniaturized.

Very well done Mazda. I probably prefer the hatch's style but need a locking trunk and will likely buy the sedan. Class leaders in (possibly...) every way. Looking forward to some tests now to confirm that!

LOL!!! Just when I got used to go around the car after so many years ... Even the Focus has the gas door on the passenger's side so I did not have to adjust my programming. Small brain programming change though…..

Sedan is not my compact car body-style preference, but the new MZ3 sedan looks good indeed. It would be my pick for a mainstream compact sedan.

The more I look at the new Mazda3 pictures the more I get the impression that they had the BMW approach in mind – clean, simple and elegant design. The dash is very BMW-esque in my eyes.

Still not sure about the styling.  Looks a bit overdone a-la Hyundai with too many curves & creases.

Love the style. I usually prefer hatchbacks but in this case I equally liked the sedan, which is a good thing for the sedan.

But gotta say that rear visibility must be really poor. And passengers on the back seat, especially children, wont be able to see a darn thing...
