"The Mercedes-AMG E53 coupe and cabriolet replace the E43 in the Canadian market"

No, they don't. There's no such thing as an E43 coupe or convertible. The only model for the coupe and convertible is the E400.

I had no idea that Merc were moving back to I6s.  Smart move imo.

Yep, that straight six is going into a ton of products starting with the 2019 E450 and the 2020 GLE450.

Supercharged and turbocharged AND has a "mild hybrid" electric motor that operates between the engine and transmission.

Actual scenario of what would happen 10 seconds after your warranty would end

Lighten up Francis.....

Golfing on Saturday, they had a Cabrio parked on the 18th tee.  I've honestly never been a big MB fan nor have I really ever aspired to own one.  While I was waiting to tee off, I sat inside it and was actually really really impressed.  Absolutely loved the interior, and for once, I really liked the exterior profile as well.  I could definitely see me driving one of these.......just not for $95k plus though.

Why does Mercedes insist on giant plastic sphincters as interior air vents? I cannot imagine a colostomy specialist wanting to see the same thing writ large staring back at him on the drive home as they've been facing all day.

Kind of makes you wonder what they're thinking as the medical fraternity is probably a key Mercedes demographic.

I personally think they're grotesque.Ewww.

At least the supercharger on this six cylinder engine is an ELECTRIC one, no belts just wires, and hands off to the turbo. My friend who has been pining for this exact vehicle trotted off to get a lease quote: $1480 a month plus tax. Some millionaires can be pragmatic as this brought him up short - the Ford Fusion Sport he leases only has a few minor faults like leaking exhaust and leaking oil pan in an 18 month old piece of Ford wonderfulness and decided to hang on for two more years.

Having watched a 20 odd minute video of robotish AMG engine man Heinz or Hans "hand assemble" the new 416 hp four cylinder howler for the AMG A45, "hand made" seems to be a bit of a stretch to me. Man pushing cart with engine on it between automatic assembly stations seems more like it. I can push a cart and open and close windows and doors myself, but I'd need a seat like on the back of a Zamboni on the cart, because standing all day is hard on the feet. However, the worker shown is a massive immaculate physical specimen and rilly rilly concentrates on getting the beans in the can without spillage. A mocassin maker makes handmade footwear, but there's no machining or fettling by humans on the AMG line.
