Speaking of reliability, I know someone who got the new XC90 T6 (turbo and supercharged I4) a few months ago and the reliability is far from stellar. Water intrusion in electronics... What you need is to find a low mileage CPO 2015 XC60 or V60 with the I6 turbo. The best powertrain for those cars and reliable.

In the last week I have seen two new model XC90s on flatbeds headed to the dealer. With Volvo you want to go tried and true and right now the I6 turbo is the winner. Thirsty but a winner. Since I am a tech-phobe my ideal Volvo is a brown XC70 T6 polestar with some stiffer sway bars.. While the comment about the XC60 being easier day to day than the V60 with kids is bang on ( I lived the pain with a V70R) the ace in the hole for a wagon is that you can keep the Thule box on and still fit in the garage...Or buy a Ridgeline.
The V90 Cross Country, replacing the XC70 is gorgeous..
Having the BMW and Audi dealer in Moncton, Volvo in Fredericton and MB here in SJ makes shopping tough here in NB. It would be nice to be able to book test drives and then drive all four back to back over a 3-4 hour period.
From my end there's HUGE excitement for the XC60 but ZERO excitement or care for the autonomous features. I'd love to see the D5 engine brought to North America as a secondary option to the issue-prone "T6" but that will never happen.
So Sailor, what about the 2018 XC60? It will be available as a PHEV with over 400 HP and 400 Ft-lbs of torque. It looks gorgeous in Polestar blue. And since you're not afraid of frequent visits to your dealer...http://www.autoblog.com/2017/03/07/2018-volvo-xc60-geneva-2017/

I plan to be in a new car in the May-June time frame.I'm also not sure about all the safety nannies. The 2017 I drove went crazy beeping and flashing everytime it thought I was too close to another car in traffic. Having the only NB dealer in Fredericton is another negative,
