New rule...better sneak your booze in guys!!

http://blogs.windsorstar.com/news/caesars-windsor-puts-a-cork-in-outside-alcohol-at-its-hotel

Honestly, can things get any worse  ::)   What they're gonna do is remove the ice machines.  I like that place.  When I drive into the US or back that's where I park myself for the night.  I can't enjoy mixed drinks without ICE!  Very big on the ice.  And I never drink mixed drinks in a bar because it's sh*t.

Steve...the problem is...all the 19 year old Americans come over and think it's a free for all.  Like..it's the first time they've been able to legally drink.  It gets pretty awful sometimes.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

I'm sure it does.  I've never landed on a weekend or holiday as I avoid those times.  That hotel is pretty empty when I've been.  I'm not concerned about bring in a bottle, but I have been in hotels that have no ice machines.  Rather you need to phone room service which in the end screws it.

Don't need ice for wine and cognac

Not something I'd drink at the beginning of a booze up.  Volume drinker.  :)

Coors light?

Actually I switched to light beer in bottles/cans a few years ago due to age.  Must treat liver with more respect as life drains away. ;D

Moosehead Light or "James" something or other.  My son likes Coors light, but he'll drink them all day so a good thing.  That 1% reduction makes a real difference.

While travelling, I hit the hotel mid afternoon and it's amber rum, 3 parts soda water to 1 part Coke, many limes.  Then outside the hotel it's draft beer exclusively.

Home brew wine nightly before dinner which is generally 9 pm.

That's my booze schedule last 10 years.   :)

If staying on the Windsor side poses problems, why not stay in Detroit?  First time TurboBob and I went, we stayed at the Westin Book Cadillac and it was fantastic (and a hell of a bargain too).  Walked to the show, then walked to dinner after.  Only got mugged three or four times.   ;D

What's the room rate at Seizures?

Looks like its going to be a good show.  Besides the  performance cars listed that I'm excited about, I'm also excited to see the Tacoma and Titan reveals.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Ron, yes, we've heard. We need to find out own transportation.

Although I do think it would be amusing to squish everyone into the Forester.

Ron, you're on the hook for organizing lunch plans before the cigar bar. Can you call that famous Coney Dog place?

Both of them are famous and they are side-by-side.  They invented the Coney as we know it in 1917.  Brothers.  They had a (friendly) dispute on the chili and type of hot dog and split.  The idea is to do the challenge.  You go to one place and try their Coney, then walk next door and try on of the others.  Pick a winner.
