I just didn't like it.  Great bike though!!


2016 Honda CB500X has been added to list of candidates.  Cheap insurance too as a nice bonus.  $424 per year.

Have you ridden the Honda 500?  I've read many positive reviews of it - not powerful, but torquey and entertaining.

Yes!  But a local 2013 for $5400.  2016 is much improved though, which I saw at a dealer (no time to ride that one today).  Which is why it's on the list.  Feels small and compact.  More than enough power for Adv. riding.

Not sure I want to spend $8200 though.   

2013 would be the way to go since I'd ultimately have the Rally Raid kit on it.  But I really like the improved bits on the 2016.

I've seen used 2012 models ask as low as $5000.

I can see how the 6,500 RPM redline is unappealing though. The "half a Fit engine" description seems accurate. The 0-60 is still under 5 seconds and I know a guy who tracks his.

I had a Burgman, it was decent. But if i were planning on a lot of highway i'd keep looking.
