of course chrysler canada is using a euro model (assuming due to the other side of the road) 300 to represent a new 200.... just makes sense! shows how little they actually car about the 200...

UK, not Euro. :)

I was the "sweeper" on a group ride tonight. Following a 75 year old guy on an old Miele bike with down tube shifters. He would put a lot of younger people to shame.

Are bikes faster depending on where the shifters are placed??

Nope. Downtube shifters are just a pain IMO. Have to take hands off bars, reach down to shift vs new bikes where the shifters are part of the brakes.

Old school is cool!

I had a Miele in 1988 BTW.  Used it to ride to work every day for my summer job.

My dd for a while in the early 80s was a 15-speed Myata touring bike.  Loved that bike!

We welcomed child #2 to the world this past Friday. Was thrilled to bring our little guy home on Sunday!

Ha!  Great news!  Congrats, mom and dad, and Happy Birthday to Baby Valuator!  What's the name?   :)

Nathaniel, but we will call him Nate most of the time. Been a great first week with him, tempered by the fact his older sister suffered a concussion at daycare this week  :-[

Damn that's a beautiful sound, never tire of that.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Riding around on 2-wheels; whether it's on my sportbike or even riding my DH MTB just for fun around the area, it's enjoyable. Brings a smile to my face. <-- this doesn't happen very much.

Did a 110km loop on the motorbike today to further practise skills. On the straight secteurs when I was stuck behind other cars (with no one behind me, of course), I just experimented/practised shifting my weight around to feel the effects. Even dared myself to take "the difficult road" back down and it went very smoothly.

Celebrating my 15th anniversary with my employer today.  I chose these Bushnell binoculars, H2O 8X42mm, as my gift.

Nice, I wouldn't mind having those.

BTW, it's about 3 or 4 times the value of what I could pick for my 25th work anny

my sons 3rd birthday today...

we had some sunshine cuddles on the patio this morning as he named all the birds around us... i pretended the cardinal was singing him happy birthday and it made him so happy... he turned to me and said, "that bird loves me very much!"

too bad i'm stuck at work now until he's in bed... but still.. a good morning. we'll have a party for him this weekend, so that will be good.

Happy birthday to "little tooscoops"! IMO, 3 is when things started to become a lot easier.  No diapers, no stroller, jump in the car seat themselves, eat by themselves, dress themselves.

My little guy just turned 2, he is getting there.... My 4 year old is showing him the ropes!
