This thread is filled with awesome!

Bonus points for scoring the better wheels with the R. Also :heart: that colour.

:thumbup::thumbup:

The wheels were a pleasant surprise I was expecting the regular version, dealer said they didn't know why they came with the upgrade but they didn't charge me so I was thrilled!  Man, this thing is quick!

Holy crap, you didnt even pay for upgraded wheels and it came with them?  You should buy lotto man, your luck is turning around!

They are not upgraded wheels. The last batch of R's came with either those or the previous ones.

If I were to get the R, that's the colour I would get. Beautiful.

They're not technically an upgrade. At some point they just started building all Rs with the new wheels, no change in price. Next year you will have a choice between the two wheels.

Was there another car there?  I couldn't see anything past the gorgeous blue on the Golf R.   ;)  That thing looks awesome in the color with those rims.

Double congrats!  :cheers:

It's a different kind of fast.  The 335 was more linear throttle wise but also kicked you in the pants when the turbos kicked in.  Once the golf r winds up its just quick as all hell, the ride is better to me than the 335 and it handles like a dream but you need to keep it revved to get the most from it. The golf is really fun though because no one expects the quickness.  With the 335 every Corolla s tried to beat me to the next light.

Congrats on the awesome new ride(s!) Hammy! Interesting you're finding the lighter, more sport-orientated (i think?) Golf R rides better than your 335i. Best of luck and enjoy them!

She liked it because it had good visibility and VW gave a really good trade offer on her F-150.  The other vehicle she was considering was a Forester but the Tiguan seemed much nicer inside and she loved the panoramic sunroof.

It's a comfortline trim, she didn't really see paying the extra for the Highline to get bigger wheels, real leather and better sound system.  So far she loves it.  They had $1,000 lease incentives along with the current rates which are great and a fair trade offer.
