Let's be consistent in our criticism.

This would be a fantastic car if it were only an ML.

Is it just me or does that interior look much cheaper than it ought to for a car in this segment? Maybe the quality of materials is great, but it doesn't look special or inviting at all.

Agreed, the interior doesn't look like Mercedes' best work.

I'm surprised we're actually getting the diesel variant.

I reserve interior judgement until I see it in the metal - I thought the C-class's interior looked like someone had teabagged it repeatedly, until I sat in the one at the auto show, and, well, wow.  It looks, and more importantly, feels great when you're sitting in it.

Jacob, this is, in my opinion, hands-down, your best article written to date from a cohesive standpoint.  Excellent start-to-finish, atypical style, and filled with subtle nuances that take a bit of worldly knowledge to understand.

Those poor, poor cows. If the fuel I funneled through the biturbo 5.4L V8 engine wasn’t bad enough for the ozone layer the sudden, violent emissions from the scared cows would have sealed the deal.
...though this one was not a subtle nuance, it was, still, quite funny.

, bud!  Keep 'em coming!

...and, let's be honest here:

Over 70% of MLs sold in Canada are diesels, probably closer to 80... It would be insanity for them to risk that.

It was a fine article.

But, sheesh, what a brown-noser.  ;D

Right, but it's a similar situation with the X5 and there is no X6 diesel offered here.
