Any plans with the engine?  Gotta love the 80s, so little power from 3.5L. Be nice if there's some power to be had...

Probably drive it as is for a bit. Haven't really had a chance yet as the brakes need bled. A 5L Land Rover block swap in if I want more power. Lots of hop up parts around. From what I understand they have good torque, low weight plus low to the ground so they don't feel underpowered.

Looks like a good example and original. If that is the case, maintaining the mechanical originality is the way to go for me. The gearbox and driveline parts are rated for the original HP/torque and weight. Nice find.

Old TR7 ad.

Old TR7 ad.

Wonder what the value difference is today?  And I also winder if the Ferrari ended up costing less when factoring in cost of service and repairs?  Be a cool comparison!!

Back in the 70s I worked with guys who owned a Jensen Healey, TR6, and TR7.
All three of them had exterior trim bits in their trunks that had fallen off their cars.
British quality.  :rofl2:
I having said that, I owned a 1967 MGB for a couple of years and it was dead reliable, and I've always wanted to own a TR6.....and still do.

Some progress this weekend. Tracked down the passneger side headlight pod not opening to a faulty relay. Replaced it with a generic parts store one for about $10 and both my headlights go up and down. Hurray! The rear tail lights are now working. Bad ground. Had to bend the clips a bit for a better fit.

I had previously fixed the horn as well (One wire fell out of the relay).

Next up is getting the brake lights to work.

When I got it almost nothing electrical worked. Now the signal lights, horn, headlights, tail lights, heater fan, wipers work. It is not as easy to work on as a MG B though. Hard to access some of the wires and relays. Between a classic and modern car electrical wise.

Bleed the brakes a while back too - that was pretty easy.

Dent - I can't recall, do you still have this?

I looked at one this morning and drove it around in the seller's underground parking garage. Felt and sounded great! Needs some minor stuff though; steering column clunks, one headlight doesn't pop up,etc. Someone had converted this one to an American style intake manifold and a Holley 4bbl.....not sure how I feel about that.

Sadly no. I got it all fixed and had to sell it. Only drove it around the block once. Hell of a car though. I think it could have been my favourite.

...and you sold it for what reason?
