oddest gift ever.... and the fact that you not only kept it but found a use for it!

so i was putting on my grill insert and thought, what the hell.. easier to remove plasti-dip than to take off the insert and apply it later. just did the one section (my can of dip was getting low!) to see what it looks like... i don't hate it... definitely makes me know it's mine in a parking lot... still thinking i'll remove it though.
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

De-badged the Outlander.  All the dealer ads and corporate nameplates are gone.  All that remains is the Mitsubishi triple diamond logo front and rear.  Sure cleans it up.

I am kinda digging the one red insert Scoops.

I had last week off, so I got a lot of cars stuff done (I also wasn't on here much!).

Lots of work done on the Healey, it's now up and running, needs a bit of tuning and still need to repair the accelerator pedal linkage. Hood, trunk and top need to go back on, plus a long list of little details.

I also got to enjoy some of the cars finally, took the SLK out for a nice drive, and hit up a local cruise night with the T/A.

Got the oil changed at the dealer. $119 including a $16 oil filter and what I can only assume to be $9.73/L mink oil. ;D

They did a complementary wheel alignment check, washed the car, and did the interior including the windows, so I'm ok with the cost, I guess.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Firm, the Healey is one of the best looking roadsters ever made IMO.

Love to see more photos of that!

Thanks, and I agree! Way ahead of it's time when you realize that it was penned in the late 1940's! Will definitely get some more pics (I still owe a proper S&S) when I get it back together. It's current at my grandmother's place, and when I am there I try to maximize my time working rather than shooting pics. Once I get it back together I'll do a proper shoot and share.

Just an annual oil change. I've only got 48xx kms on it right now. The oil life monitor said I had another 10k left on it, but the 12 months had expired.

I'll be heading East with my daughter for a few weeks, so I wanted it done before we left.

Seriously <5k? I have 6100km on my motorbike I bought in April !

10$/litre isn't so bad for synthetic motor oil. I pay 14$/litre for what I use in the BMW 3er, and even off-the-shelf Castrol syntec (which I used to use) is 12$/litre. Granted, the flexible oil service means I run it 25-30k before an oil change so the cost is offset there.

When I change the oil myself on the BMW, it costs about 115$.

Wow is right.  At that rate, you're only gassing up like once per month!

Yup, somewhere between every 4-5 weeks.  ;D

The trip home and back will put about 8500kms on it though.

^ ;D

When I was travelling for work, there were a few years where I clocked over 70K. Typically I was close to average ~20-25k/year.

These have been an exceptional couple of years.  :P
