Changed the rear 02 sensor on my sister's 02 miata. She has been running with the check engine light for a year. :-[
Kind of a pain in the ass to change. Had to get one of those offset 02 sensor sockets. Since the connection is under the driver seat I ended up just removing the seat to get at it. God  knows what the dealer would have charged for this.  ;)

Oil change in the sienna and Vw.  Now ready for winter!

That will last till spring?

close...or hopefully to February  VW is every 15K  Sienna I go every 10K.    I still have to put on winter tires and take a look at the brake pads.  Pads on the Vw is original and we're pass 170K

I thought that was only on newer Toyotas.  I used to change the Odyssey every 8k with synthetic.

At the rate my 3er is going, it will be 1 full year for the oil change. Last change was in Jan 2016, and I have still 10k to go based on the computer.  :)

Do need to get the oil changed on the bike soon though, it's been about 8k.

Washed and waxed car last week, so of course it rained today and tomorrow.

Changed the front diff and transfer case fluids in the Yukon today. Was a little earlier than planned, but I recently discovered that my wife had been driving the truck all summer in Auto 4WD mode. Not a terrible thing, but hardly ideal for lots of highway miles and towing. Figured I'd change the fluids for some peace of mind.

Meh. It's a 13 years old van with 260K. I'm sure an extra 2k won't make a difference. Easier to remember this way.

That's why I changed the Odyssey at 8k intervals, because the Mazda does.  Glad it's doing well at 260k.

Where in Toronto can you get AMSOIL? My MDX is due for an oil change in a few months and I am considering going Synthetic.  I suppose the higher cost offsets less frequent changes.

Over the last couple of days I've really gone to town on the Highlander's interior.  It had many ski/climbing/backpacking/montain-biking trips worth of dirt and grime built up.  Shampooed the upholstery - that was much needed!

"What will you do to your car on Saturday?"

The forecast for Saturday looks good, so I’m taking the Mazda to Interlake Dragway, west of Gimli, to see how quick the Mazda is in the quarter-mile.  I’m hoping for a time of 16.2 seconds at 85 mph, a lot slower than the dragster I drove last year, but still lots of fun.

Way back in the mid 90s I ran my MX-3 with the teeny 1.8L V-6 on the strip for fun, and I was at almost exactly that ET and trap.

^ Certainly not :)

On topic, I did a bunch of oil changed the other night. Both Firebirds and the Sonoma were due (time, not mileage :( ) so I setup in the garage on the lift and got through them in an hour or so. Including greasing all the fittings on the chassis (chassi?).

Bought four new WS-80 Blizzaks for the Corolla.  $468 at Costco including taxes, install, etc, etc.  That's a great deal.  Last few days of the $70 off promotion.
