Mitsubishi will send 1,600 copies of the Lancer Evolution Final Edition to USA. Based on the Evolution GSR, the Final Edition is powered by Mitsubishi’s 2.0-litre turbo-four tuned to produce some extra kick, bringing total output to 303 horsepower and 305 lb.-ft. of torque, 5-speed transmission and AWD.

US$37,995 unclear if the Final Edition will be available in Canada.

I've always been a little more in the Evo camp in the STI vs Evo fight.....just a more hard edged car to drive.
Lighten up Francis.....

I've always liked the the Evo over the STI too....

BUT

In the real world of actually owning one?  Give me Subaru > Mitsubishi

apparently, it doesn't come with the Recaro seats either.

so for final edition, they took out the expensive seats, and charge the same.

I've always lusted after the EVO also. Performance-wise, EVO had it all over the older STi (and STI), but then Subaru got their mojo back and went all hardcore with the new STI.

Can't think of a single compelling reason to get this over a new STI. (And keeping it in your garage under a cover for the next twenty years in the hope that it becomes a future collectible is not a compeling reason, IMO :) )

I've been a Subaru owner for over a decade now and wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

But if I were in the market for this type of vehicle - there would be no question it would be the upcoming Ford Focus RS - this vehicle is going to redefine the segment imo.

Mitsu is actually lucky they are pulling out of this market before the Focus RS kicks them out.
