Have most brands switch to direct ignition, or some of them still use spark plug wires? I know both my Echo and X-Trail have direct ignition.

GM Che"woo"let (Optra,Aveo and possibly the Epica) are still using plain ignition wires and copper
plugs (50 000KM).
Me, I don't care, that's only easier and cheaper to replace if something goes wrong.
