FYI, prepare to buy lots of tires.  I know a few owners and they go through tires like crazy.

Why?
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

The P85+ model has a performance suspension where the camber can affect tire wear.
The 21" wheel option also eats tires.

Mine is an S85 with 19" wheels and Tesla put new tires on it for delivery.

Factoid: The air suspension can lower ride height on the highway above a pre-set speed, I've turned that option effectively off (set speed to 160) as the lowest setting also affects tire wear due to camber.

One cool thing about the air suspension is the fact it learns where you want to raise for steep driveway entrances (like mine).  I only needed to set it high as I come down the street the first time, and it remembers by GPS location and auto raises the ride height every time afterwards, very convenient!

Can anyone else confirm the pictures are finally showing up?  Google drive is a PIA to get the right sharing link...

Weird. At first there were no pics but now they do show, on Firefox anyway.

Still no pics and now no pics in the signature either.. ???

As for tires, yes you can expect more wear than normal, I think it has to do with the boatload of instant torque. Even the Leaf seem tough on the front winter tires, after 1 winter, they were half gone...

Hmm, there might be something to what you say, took it out for a casual ride last night to test out the J1772 EVSE adapter at a free charging station, and found it hard not to use all that torque...

The adapter worked, charged at 30km/h, which is much slower than the 50km/h I get on my home charging setup, but at least I know the public charging option works fine with my Tesla, just like it does with my Smart ED.

I understand that as the Tesla has gobs of torque from the first instant the motor spins, it's quite hard on tires - not just from liberal use of the power, but due to the way it's applied.  I'm not sure if there's any science/truth to that, but it's something I read.

Awesome car, looking forward to your updates over time.
