Had it washed, clay bar, and waxed (paste).  Something I wouldn't have done myself. Seemed like a reasonable price although I didn't shop around. I took a liking to the shop after talking with them a while back. Charged me $146 with taxes.

I am not sure where you are from, anywhere near the GTA?  (You know the centre of the universe?)  ;D

The detailing shop was in Kingston but I live in Guelph.

Was it a chain?  I need some work done at that price.

Nice!  Not driven much eh Julie?  Low KMs for 3 years......car looks fantastic!!

21K out of a set of tires?  That's good!  Never got that out of a set on either the 911 or the C36.

Car looks great and especially with those rims!

 :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:  You haven't seen how Julie drives!
The hardest Julie has ever been on tires was on my IS at the drag strip.

Thanks guys! I did research on tires for the M3, and Michelin Super Sports just keep coming up as one of the best summer tires. Also, a lot of M3 owners have them, which always helps given the larger sample size.

Yes, I am not hard on tires... except on rocket's tires.  :rofl2:

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Something else I've done to our M3. Installed a camera mount. It's meant for a GoPro but you can install any camera. For now, I've installed a Mobius camera, as you can program it to use as dash cam (continuous recording, etc.) The Mobius is small, light, and about $100 each. Films in 1080p.

Here is a super low resolution screenshot from Windows Movie Maker, as I don't know how to capture screenshots in higher resolution. The actual film from the Mobius is in 1080p.

Shows field of view from the m3 camera mount:

EDIT: Anyone have any suggestions for the best Windows video editor besides Windows Movie Maker? Something hopefully very simple and easy to use?

EDIT2: And if AngryChicken sees this, yes, that's a Blackberry I have in my hands! It's a work-supplied one. BlackBerry Classic.

Sold my GS400.  Sold it to a young guy who loves cars.  First car he's bought since coming to Canada.  Was very happy!

Lucky guy!

Got the best mileage record on the m3

8.1L !!!!!!!

95% highway , 36 psi in the front.

Is it depressing to drive it in such a way?

Nope.  Cruised at comfy 110 on alberta highway 40.
it's got some interesting section in the drive.

Nice.... I *love* driving in the Alberta mountains.....

On Saturday I installed the hitch and wiring harness on the Altima with my brother in law in his garage.  What should have been a 90 minute job for one guy took 2.5 hours.  Granted, we installed the wiring harness in that time, too.  But my goodness.  Drilling the frame of your car really sucks, you know.

I then went and tested the wiring harness on the trailer tent that we'll be pulling.  The harness came with a 4-pin flat and the trailer tent has a 7-pin connector.  I went out and bought a 7-pin adaptor and spent yesterday replacing the 4-pin flat with the new 7-pin connector.  It will only control the lights since the car isn't wired for trailer DC power or brakes.

I am on vacation this week  ;D
So I've been doing more landscaping and stuff around the yard :(
But so far I've managed to squeeze in a little car stuff. I washed the T/A because I want to take it to a cruise night later in the week. Today I drove to Bond head and back to pickup a new (ABS plastic) headliner board for the T/A to replace the disintegrated original. I was planning on saving the original, but after removing it and taking a good look at it, it's too far gone.

I also took a pair of WS-6 Trans Am sway bars I had stored away and painted them; they will replace the originals on the Firebird, which are starting a crack on the ends.

Why?  What does such a service entail?
