Thank you guys!  I took it out for a couple (6) shakedown laps at Calabogie and was immediately impressed at its turn-in and brakes.  It doesn't have the out-and-out power of my Gen 1, but it's easier to make it go fast and it sounds beautiful.  I'm not going to track it for real until sometime late August, but I feel good!

Here's a link to the photos I took -->  https://goo.gl/photos/mhzPgDjB2K7rHeRz7

There are some shots there of normancw's new ride too.  Look for a silver M3!

That's great to hear!  I'll have to get a ride next time.

Beautiful.  Just beautiful.

I think you're the first person I've seen going from one generation to the next of the same car.  :cheers:

The silver is starting to grow on me.  I always thought it was the colour you got when you didn't know what colour you wanted but I'm slowly changing my mind.

Stopping by the dealer tomorro to get my DVD drive for the NAV system unlocked. "It's locked?!", you say? Yup. Apparently the dealer reserves the right to rip you off for $375+tax for the navigation DVD update *and* another 2 hours shop labour to install it. Let's just say they're unlocking it for free. If I had VAGCOM I would do it myself.

Beauty! Congrats man. Didn't realize the Mk. II's had the option for the VR6 - must be sweet indeed.

My own weird tastes: consider some darker BBS reps for the winter tire setup  :)

Not weird taste at all!  I quite like those wheels and was in fact looking for some daily driver wheels as I will keep the OEM wheels for the track.  I'm partial to the BBS LM as that was what was on my old TT and I was already thinking black or gun metal finish.
