He should have the book thrown at him, he should never be allowed to drive again, and he should have to pay all costs resulting from his idiocy. This would include your time, the police time, paying for whatever work the (presumably) injured officers suffered, societal cost for any resulting traffic jam, time for processing all the paperwork involved and paying to replace the cruiser.

He should also be required to attend counseling aimed at correcting his psychotic view of the world.
And some cretins think I hate cars.

I *think* Charness' articles are fictionalized accounts based on cases he deals with/hears about. I doubt he'd be allowed to recount things exactly. Wouldn't that violate some sort of lawyer/client privilege?
