You should consider checking it out if the aesthetics are to your liking and the pricing seems to fit your smaller budget.

It's a FIFTH car in our family - and for my daughter to bash.  No worries about how anything looks, lol!

The Highlander from the friends doesn't seem like a bad idea, does it? I mean you'd know how well they'd maintain it, and it's a yota...

Super tempting, even if it's the EXACT same colour scheme as mine.

I'm sure the neighbours think of you as weird already, with the 4 cars with 3 people. This will only prove them right  ;D

Though I'm sure you'll mix the cars up more than once... just keep the key rings with both keys

There's a long list of reasons why they think we're weird ahead of the four cars thing!

(it might be SIX cars, I have a line on a 1968 Chev Pick Up that I really really want if it's half as good as the pics I was sent...)

I don't know the owner - but a friend does and says this truck is a crazy good buy.  Plan to view it when I get back from Jasper on Tue.  I'd love to have an old pick up, even if it is PURPLE.

Will you have parking for all of these cars in your BC condo?

Nope.

 :'(

But we're at least 2-3 years from moving.  So some time to enjoy an old truck.

I was selling cars at Mazda as they phased out the Tributes for the incoming CX-5's. They were sold at pretty heft discounts I recall so cheap models should be plentiful. There are 0 differences, hell the spares in the parts department were shipped in Ford boxes.

Leather will be easier to find in the Fords as it was a standalone option with the seat heaters, you had to go to a Tribute GT for that stuff I think.

I liked them, they felt cheap but then again they were; much cheaper than the CX-7's we had in the showroom next to them, and they still looked like an SUV. I never heard any major complaints out of the service department with em, and we had customers on their second or third models. I almost bought one when I left the dealership. The 4-banger should be fine unless you're towing or really loading it up.

With the stick, have you driven one? I absolutely hated that truck with a stickshift. Weird shifter/clutch combo, compared to the rest of the Mazda line at least, but then again this was a Ford unit. Shifter was notchy and the clutch very abrubt. OK on the move but from a start was annoying. Maybe once you got used to it. Stick was only available with FWD, at least with the Mazda's.
