Interesting how Nissan never mentions the powertrain in the press release...apparently offering a 1.6L engine making 109 HP/107 TQ with a CVT or 5MT isn't exactly something to brag about these days.

Well, at least it looks better than the Versa sedan.

Agreed.  Even better than the outgoing hatchback.  Pretty sad to say this, but the Versa Note may be the nicest looking car Nissan produces outside of the 370Z and GTR.

I can see offering the 1.6 in the super cheap version but I'm surprised they dropped the 1.8 for the more expensive models.  Can't see anyone paying $19K for one.
