Nothing to my car today, but I winterized my boat & put it away in storage. Now the Porsche can stay in the garage for the next 4ish weeks until it goes away into storage :)

My mechanic swapped the summers for the winters.  Before doing that, he had to change one of the studs, as the nut had been cross-threaded (probably with an impact wrench) by some moron before I owned the car.  The nut was no longer threading on the stud.

In order to do that, and because of the length of the stud, he had to remove the very rusted and seized wheel bearing assembly and bolts.  There was much cursing for 90 minutes.  He was handsomely rewarded with a case of beer, braised brisket and homemade chocolate chip cookies.  And some other stuff.   ;D

Can you talk to my wife?  I am getting totally screwed.  Just finished oil changes and cleaning both vehicles inside and out.  Made supper everyday this week, and we are out of beer!  She made sugar cookies for the kids (kids don't know any better).  As for the other stuff, :-(

Out of beer?  How does that happen?  My wife and I were going over a CC statement today, the items for the liquor store, she said, 'well those are essentials anyway'

Our liquor budget is limited.  And this summer we have gone over budget too often.  So once this summer finished, we have been purchasing  very little.

Had to get new tires for Wife's Yukon. Decided to give it a good vacuum while it was in my care for the day. That turned into a 3 stage polish that took the entire rest of the day and into the evening....I did not want to do that job myself as I don't consider myself a skilled enough power-polisher to tackle an enormous black truck, it turned out OK. I absolutely HATE maintaining black vehicles, but they look pretty for a few hours after a good clean.  ;D

I got a set or Wrangler SR-A's. Got a sweet deal from my GM dealer as they were new take-off's. Also, they are LT rated 10 ply, hoping they'll be a bit hardier than the P rated tires we had on it before, seems like I was getting punctures every other week. Also, the LT tires are 60 series sidewall compared to the P rated 55, without having the max pressure set to 80 psi I might get a touch smoother ride. Haven't noticed any big change yet, time will tell.

Must be, at least her boyfriend washes it afterwards lol.  The old tires were Goodyear Ls2's. Never had so many flats as with those tires.

I put these on my JK last summer, if you find your JK doors are sticking etc. the "guys" on the forum like these. Free shipping, thought I'd post (I don't work for TMR Customs) in case someone needs them:

Just an FYI I received an email about their new website, you can get 15% off their products if you use the code "LAUNCH" when you checkout.

More what I did for my car........I cleaned out the garage enough so that the ML will fit for the first time since April. A 3 car garage will only hold 2 cars if you constantly push back against the ever encroaching avalanche of car/boat/lawn/garden/sports "stuff". (To the best of my knowledge no 3 car garage will ever actually hold 3 cars.  ;D)
Old Jag convertible...one itch I won't have to scratch again.

Had balancing and alignment done while getting other things done. I noticed that they just took the remaining weights off the insides of rims that were put on after road force balance 3 years ago. - Some of the weights fell off over the years.
The vibration at highway speed is still somewhat there, though. I may have to get them to fix it again. :(
