had 5 bedroom posters in my childhood in the early 90's: F40, XJ220, BTCC Alfa 155 (Tarquini), BTCC Volvo 850R (Rydell), and Bugatti EB110. Own the 155, hunting for the Volvo in good shape, and will never be able to afford the rest.

That said, would get the XJ just because it is so gorgeous...

highly discourage that.

classic case of 'never meet your childhood heroes'..

XJ is just appalling car in all ways.

but if you are still inclined, apparently they go for around 100k on auction blocks.

Really...youve actually driven one, cool!!! Ive always thought that it was a good looking car, minus the rims  :hurl: , but yeah, never heard anything bad about them, except that from that age, if youre gonna go supercar, the Mclaren F1 is the only way to fly.
Lighten up Francis.....

No, but i read it on internet so it must be true!!!  ;)  ;D

read accounts of potential buyers saying this really is just a kit car from 70's, massive turning circle, laggy engine, poor steering, shit4y electronics and interior etc. etc.  only thing it reportedly was good for was sitting pretty and going straight line.

Driving thrills makes my wallet lighter.. and therefore makes me faster because i'm shedding weight... :D

well it held a record on the Nurburgring for some time, watch the video with Chris Harris chasing one in an XK-R S? He could barely keep up except under braking...

yes it may have been heavily flawed, but so are many of the best supercars - it is a character trait. Turning circle? Not gonna be parking it at Wal-Mart, that is for sure...

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

It was to be developed into the 969 (internal designation 965) with a V8 and PDK tranny to replace the outgoing 911 Turbo as a 1991 model.  They made 16 prototypes, then it got cancelled for various reasons and  they destroyed 15 of them.  Somewhere out there is a Porsche V8 959ish car.

My neighbour's son bought one of these old RAV's.  I like the look, it's become kinda retro in an odd way...

For some strange reason, I'm kinda digging these cars. It doesn't have anything to do with the fuel saving technology, I just like their looks. Never considered buying one, and still think I won't ever. They would stand out too much. Although I have to say, when I saw the NSX Concept in person at this year's Canadian AutoShow, it took my breath away - partly because it was so small and I love small! - and I thought about it for a minute...  :P

Julie, since you're now buying your cars in twos, I take it two i8's and two NSXs are on order?

For sure, Julie!!  That one also had the good full time AWD, not the slip and grip.  And you could get it with a stick.   ;D

Actually, I haven't been a good car nut enthusiast lately. I haven't been keeping up with OTHER cars, brands, new models and such. After looking into it a bit last night, I realized THIS seems to be the "eco" sports car to beat !
