If you wanna seriously haul a trailer, do it right and get a Duramax or Powerstroke and a 3/4 or 1 ton truck, this whole 1/2 ton diesel thing to me is pointless. Price for a truck like I would want equipped would take it into 3/4 or 1 ton gas territory and I would much rather have the huge capability of an HD truck rather than a 1/2 ton, compared to a gas 1/2 ton, the fuel savings would never be made up by the extra cost of buying and maintaining the diesel. Fuel mileage....well....I honestly don't really care that much. A diesel 1 ton dually Ford or GM....yes please, a diesel 1/2 ton Dodge/Nissan/Ferd.....wouldn't be on my radar.
