Life on the road 😁

LOL. That is the absolute lap of luxury compared to some of the sh!t holes I get stuck in. And when I say sh!t hole, I don't mean that in the figurative sense. You don't want to know...  :shake:

Luxury for sure, I have been in some shat holes up in Northern Canada, Australia, and South America for work. When you have morning safety meetings about reptile safety its not a good thing  :)

Don't pass up a chance to tour the prison just south of town.   ;D

This week is Port Alberni - Kenora - Hudson Bay - Port Alberni - Campbell River, starting at 5 AM on Monday and need to be in CR for 9 AM Friday.  Includes 7 hrs drive Winnipeg - Kenora return and 8 hrs Saskatoon - Hudson Bay return.  All for a total of 14 hrs actual work that is billed (travel time is also billed but at a lesser rate).

Last week of nasty travel coming up before I start the new job.  Last week was Toronto for some training.  You would think this would be pretty straight-forward, 2 flights there, 2 back.  But only one (the first one of 13 minutes) actually went on schedule.  One was outright cancelled, one was delayed so much that I missed the last flight back to Vancouver island and needed to stay overnight in Vancouver.

My last week of travel sees me in Maple Ridge, Delta, Chilliwack, Edmonton and finally in Campbell River for Friday morning.  Don't get into CR till around 2 AM Friday for a few quick hours of sleep.

New job will have travel, but most will be confined to coastal BC, with 90% of that on Vancouver Island.  May need to do 1 trip per year to visit the offices in Japan, but that is still to be worked out.  After 10 years of insane travel, time for a change  :D
