One of the findings that J.D. Power’s highlights in their press release is that owners who use their third row regularly (monthly) are more satisfied with the third row seating, but less satisfied with the resulting cargo space, but those who rarely seat passengers in the third row are more pleased with the cargo space. And that owners that use the thrid rows regularly tend to experience more problems with them.

Fix that.

A good read just to show how stupid JD's surveys are, but pretty useless.  Much wow on the 'how many problems' people have with their seats.  SEATS.  FFS.

A seat problem consists of:
1) I spilled mustard on my cloth seats while eating a hot dog while driving
2) That knife in my rear pocket cut my seat
3) My dog's claws cut right through the upholstery
4) My cat's claws "     "          "          "          "
5) My son's teeth "     "          "          "          "
6) There's no power control on my manually-controlled seats
7) My power-controlled seats move too slowly
8) My power-controlled seats don't move while my fat as$ is on them

I read this, anmd nearly spit out my water!

while Avanzar (Toyota Tacoma and Tundra) and Magna (Porsche Panamera and Ford C-Max) each took two category wins.

Tacoma and Porsche in the same sentence?

then I read this:

We are also surprised to hear about the Toyota Tacoma’s success, as various of our readers have taken issue with them specifically for an inferior seating position.

So we had the same reaction... LOL

but reading this, somewhat puts it in perspective:

which restricts this mainly to a reliability survey, rather than a reflection of comfort or quality of materials

I can completely understand the rating after reading that.
When I friend replaced his 2001 Tacoma with a new 2013, the cloth seats in the 2003 actually still looked brand new.   And the fact that the seats are practically on the floor with a two way pump adjustment, what the heck would go wrong???
