Built some raised bed box for the garden, headed into the shower
Went by the mechanical room and noticed water all over the floor
The hot water tank is done
Will have some pricing tomorrow for a new tank install
Tankless?
Have hot water again
The plumber who was here , I have know him for 25 years , he said the tankless in this area have been only lasting a couple of years before they crap out
How old was the one that quit? Ours is 17 yrs old now so i dont expect it to last much longer. What did you get for a replacement? Our current one is 60 gal, but wondering if the two of us could get by with a 40 gal. .
It was installed in 1997
I went to 40 Gal , there is only two of us
I'll ask you in a couple more months how you are managing before I decide on mine.
It can heat up 265 L per hour
We use have a 40 gal, before we move to the 50 gal, but we also had 4 kids at home
I am thinking it had be installed before '97
Tank cost was $499 plus tax from Home Depot
Installation and material $246 with taxes
Mine is from 1999 when the house was built. I plan on replacing it by the end of summer. After 17 years it doesn't owe me anything, but might if it breaks and makes a mess. I already had to clean a mess a few months ago when the floor drain backed up and puked water all over the floor.
I will be buying a 40 gal also. It's all the two of us need.
Your's is probably NG though right? What brand did you buy?
This is gonna be an expensive year for us. Besides the water heater, we have to get a new roof, new access door between garage and house, have to hire a guy with a tractor to put in some drainage for a couple of wet spots, and have to buy some screenage plants and do more landscaping to block the gap the fakin deer made after they ate most of my cedar hedge that blocks the view of my piggy neighbor's yard.
