I want to definitely own a Ferrari one day. It is not about being realistic. It's about following a dream.

I realize this thread is a little bit old buut perhaps I can breathe some life back into it ^^ Realistically, I'd like to own a 2014 350 Dodge Challenger. My dream car however, is the 2015 SRT Hellcat version.

Good call, plan for it to happen and it will.

Perhaps a Golf R or another Q5. The unrealistic list contains a Porsche Macan.   And I know that the price of the new Q5 is getting very close to the Macan but the nearest Porsche dealer is too far away by my standards.

Hmmmm, this is a fun thread.  Right now I'm planning on replacing my current vehicles in 2020 with a new VW Tiguan and a new Ford Fiesta ST.  Paying off the Fiesta in 3 years and getting something RWD, like a Camaro SS, Mustang GT, or Miata.  I'd really like to put some money away over the next 20ish years and get something special as a retirement gift (like a Porsche 911), but life seems to always get in the way of these things.

might be getting a job in Oz in the next few months, and I would have to get a new car to replace my....wonderful 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage hatch. At least until the Tesla arrives.

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Just thinking about GS350 for my next family car when I get over the need for an SUV's utility.

I still use the utility part of my MDX as I had to bring a couple of cabinets and four bags of clothing from BIL's place while having first and second row occupied.  Also brought a 2-seat sofa (loveseat) from the said BIL's place last week, with the second row folded.

My desire to sell a few of my current toys to free up some space, time and secure my sanity, and replace with one of these is growing ever strong:

Would need to be a proper SL55 AMG (no base SL500), black, with reasonable kms and with service records....or cheap enough that I could justify putting the work into it to get the service is up to date.

I missed one locally about a month ago that sold for <$20K (just), no records, but otherwise it fit the bill. Pickings are slim though.

are there any known problems with supercharged V8s in those 55?  they sure are nice.  i wouldn't mind getting one of those either.

Not entirely sure that buying a SL55 AMG is compatible with securing your sanity.  ;D

At least sailor's thread might end up with a companion.  ;D

What toys are you gonna get rid of tho?  :stick:  :o  ;D

If I had to guess I'd think the Escalade, the SS, the 96 Firebird & the Sonoma are staying... oh & the 84 Camaro too. So that leaves the 85 TA, the SLK & the pair of MGB's on the outside looking in

No known engine issues. SBC pump for the braking system is the big issue with these, few grand to get it replace I believe. Typical MB sketchy electronics, but the big things seem to be fairly reliable. It would definitely be a light use fair weather car....so much like the SLK, it would only see a couple thousand kms a year, so I'd hope that would keep the operating costs in check.

SS, the orange MGB, SLK and 85 T/A would be the ones to go...We'll see. Maybe i am just having an off week.
