Can you guess the car?

I was at a firejob today measuring for trusses.  I found this in the garage.

I've already determined what kind of car it is based on some indicators.  Can you guys?  I'm willing to bet some of you are.

This guy was a bit of a car nut, I think.  There was all kinds of car-related items in this garage (or the remnants of) including spare parts, ring gears from differentials, the remains of 8 winter wheels and tires, the remains of plenty of tools.

Impreza WRX or STI...flat 4, top mounted intercooler....that makes me sad  :'(

Ding ding.  That was fast. 

At first I missed the flat four and intercooler, but I looked for the rear CV shafts and found them, then I knew it was an Impreza of some sort.  Saw the intercooler afterwards and determined it to be an STI or WRX.  Not sure exactly which one though.
