There is No interior pictures, no point in even opening this link

Well, only if you are interested in how the thing drives, I suppose.  ::)  And I count over a dozen interior pics if that's all you're interested in.
When I first click on the link there was no interior pictures shown
Also I need to see the interior before I care what it drives like  ;D

click on the "79 photos" on the first photos or scroll down the article - or if that's too much work click on here

they've all morphed into the same thing...at least the Asian cars.  I prefer the Jeep GC and the Ford Explorer over these Japanese/Korean models with their swopping lines and boyish looks.

That front grill would make an excellent BBQ grill.  You could cook a whole cow on it.

Car and Driver test drive of 500 miles experienced 3 instances of emergency braking kicking in erroneously. Twice when rolling up behind stop cars at street light and another time when changing lanes after car just passed.

These emergency braking system may save you from hitting something but people are going to end up being rear ended when these systems kick in for no reason. Read about same experience on Kia's K900.

I an a BIG Mazda fan and this is a nice SUV. Not a fan of all of these safety systems. I think there is too much of a rush to implement them before all the bugs are worked out.

If you want more in life you have to make an effort.

I saw one of these yesterday on the road and I have to say it's one good looking rig.  Didn't look crazy big either so if the interior space is decent I imagine there should be a few sold in our market.

C&D tested one:

decent performance out of the engine, but can't quite keep up with the Pilot/Explorer Sport...so GS, GS-L seem competitive, the other trims....not so much.

It's just like every other Mazda, it's smaller than the competition, and not after 0-60 times.

It would be interesting for a comparison of a Ford Explorer XLT with the 2.3L Ecoboost vs a Mazda CX-9 GS.  As the Sport trim uses the much bigger 3.5 ecoboost.

Yup! That's fair competition at the same price range. As soon as you step into the GT though, you are stepping into more expensive CUVs with more powerful engines, and then this engine just doesn't deliver.

Not sure what you mean.  Really only Ford has different engines.  Highlander/Pilot/Pathfinder/GM triplets all the same engine, regardless of trim.

Ford does this too, as the 2.3L ecoboost is $1000 extra on the Limited trim.

if you are buying a GT, that's $47,763.00 which means the CX-9 is now competing against more powerful offers - the Pilot isn't more powerful, but has a 9-speed transmission that makes it SUPER fast...and the Explorer adds the 3.5 Ecoboost to the mix
