On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

..the gap narrows when you compare behind the 2nd and 3rd rows (where the difference drops down to 147L and 106L in favour of the Flex).

The other way to look at it is that the Flex has almost 50% more room.  That is not insignificant.
i'm not sure what funny math you are using but:

4412 is not 50% larger than 4366 (it is 1.01% larger)
2355 is not 50% larger than 2066 (it is 12.3% larger)

and percentages are meaningless...the raw numbers are what counts...something that sells for 10 cents costs twice as much as something that sells for 5 cents, but the difference is only 5 cents, which is nothing.
When you've lost the argument, admit defeat and hit the smite button.

Dude.  FFS, look at the numbers in my quote!
relax...and you're still wrong.

that is the DIFFERENCE between the two in the 2nd and 3rd rows respectively, not the actual capacity numbers.

the actual numbers for behind the 2nd and 3rd row are:

2nd row - Flex 1224 / Sorento 1077
3rd row - Flex 426 (includes rear seat well) / Sorento 320

The Flex's biggest problem is most women HATE them. Not indifferent but hate the shape. My wife (who drives a box on wheels LR4) can't stand the Flex. Few cars make her react that way except for the Flex (Oh she didn't like the Magnum either) . I have only seen one  woman in my neighbourhood driving one but then again her partner is a woman. Not sure why the hate for this shape but it won't change. RIP Flex

My Wife loves the look of the Flex (magnum too).  I liked it after the MCE gave it that cool nose. They needed to offer this vehicle with a faux woodgrain package. I always hoped for the Flex "Country Squire" edition to come out lol.

This is one of those hard to redesign vehicles. What would the gen 2 Flex look like? Difficult to keep the same look that made it cool in the first edition while making it look all-new enough to spark any interest in new and return buyers.

The aftermarket had kits:

I'm not saying it was a good thing.

My wife is kind of indifferent towards the Flex and SUVs in general, but she hates the look of the Magnum.

My fiancee really likes (or used to like) the Magnum and for a while I was keeping an eye out for clean used V8s.

However, she absolutely hates the Flex. We have no need for a vehicle that large but once in a while I say I'm going to buy one just to get her going.  ;D

Does she dislike wagons in general or just the Magnum?

Wagons in general but the Magnum gets a special helping of disgust.
