I'd probably sell the stock! well.. i'd wait until next month i guess... but yeah, i don't think it will keep rising as drastically. i would imagine the sales will slow a bit when the vans are harder to come by, no renegade in the market yet, ram is good, but not a change year, so no big adjustments on sales # there... i see the continuous year over year record stopping this month or next (more likely next imo).

you get a fair amount of shares? hopefully!

tooscoops - have you heard anything as to when the all new Chrysler minivan will be announced to the public (perhaps at an upcoming auto show)?

nope. there have been a few mules apparently.

the last thing I heard was that the factory will start building ones for dealers/purchase starting right around January 2016. I feel like they are giving us half truths though.

don't think so. they say they won't be showing any new models... just all the new packages and tweeks... kind of boring from what i've read.

Hopefully they will have the horrible a 9 speed transaxle sorted out by the time they start putting it in their bread and butter units.
Enjoying the Alberta advantage

its the first time I've gone to the Dodge Build and Price and not seen the massive discounts on their minivan.  It says from $27,995 for the 2016 Canadian Value package and no discount given - very strange.    ??? - have they run out of cash and can no longer afford it?   or is it in preparation for the new model - 'something is afoot Watson'.   ;D

there's no sorting it out...there's replacing that 9-speed unit with something totally different.

Doubt that's going to happen.  Lots of investment and contracts probably already made..

^ I know...I suspect we will have a whole generation of vehicles with transmission issues in a few years - that includes Acura, Land Rover, etc....

One of the main reasons the Jeep Cherokee is off my list.

Hello seventy-cent Dollar.   MSRP's won't change much, but the difference is made up on cash on the hood.

that's my whole point, they were throwing 7-8 grand on the hood on the website when it was a 75 cent dollar, so I don't see that connection - so in other words they are not giving any discounts (it would appear).  Before when you went on the site it would pop-up with the $19,995 CVP and then when you check the summary it would show the regular $27,995 MSRP with the discounted amount - very odd for FCA  ???

Just went to the website, I'm seeing a $7100 discount still.... and that's on a 2016.

FWIW, production body T&c's are out and spotted.

Have to click on "special offers".   In the build and price....

https://www.dodge.ca/buildandprice/en/#/configurator/dodge/grandcaravan/16806/CAC60DOV171A1?mode=buildAndPrice&backToUrl=https:%2F%2Fwww%7Cdodge%7Cca%2Fen%2F2016%2Fgrandcaravan%2FCAR_VAL

okay now I see it, but they didn't use to do it that way.  As you can see in the build feature that there is a discount line but nothing shown.

I find the FCA sites very poor for clear info, why make it straight forward when you can complicate it.  Also I don't thinK FCA actually knows what  specifications means (you see specs on a heading and its just a list of features).  Have you tried to go on their sites and tried to find out measurements, capacities or even what fuel economy is on various engines with different combinations - they just "say at high as ___", or they give hp or torque figures but not at what rpm.  You can get better info on the US site but even that is sketchy at times.  Every other auto website makes all this very clear as they all follow the same format on the specifications as they know what it means.
The other thing that FCA Canada is good at - you can't simply download a brochure in pdf, you have to fill out a form to get one in print - in this day and age come 'on even the US site will let you download one.  What other website doesn't let you download a brochure, I haven't come across any others.
