I'm starting to see a lot more of the Genesis on the roads here. I always have to take a double look when approaching head on because of the front end look of a MB, especially when far. Once Hyundai gets the handling down pat, I could see this car becoming a player in the mid luxury level. Maybe Hyundai should give Lotus a call ?

There will always be that group of people who simply want exclusivity and have the money to buy it. The higher price almost becomes more attractive to them. The cache of a MB in the driveway and a Rolex on their wrist is what they desire.

What a great write up.  I really like the whole real estate broker analogy and how this car would be a perfect fit.  When I think about it, it's so true.  And although I like German cars, I wouldn't mind driving this nice vehicle at all, especially if I ever go the real estate route.  Hyundai did an amazing job with this car.  They kept the lines simple and robust.

Or the "lady in the hat" driving around Kanata in a Jag. But she's an established name with a solid reputation. Those starting out need not copy her. The article still applies.

Usually, I a review that spends the first half-dozen paragraphs discussing something other than the car will have me tearing my (purely notional) hair out.  But I gotta say, this was a really good read.

Her office used to be in the same mall as the Loblaws I worked at during high school.  She's had several Jags over the last 20 years.
