  Very Nice AC   I'm getting my daughter a boring RRSP  :P
I wonder which will last longer, the RRSP or the watch? ;-)

Does the watch folks here know much about Oris watches?  A buddy of mine that just moved here from the UK has a beautiful looking Oris watch that he wants to sell as he's looking at buying another Oris model.  He mentioned that he paid 1200 pounds for it back in the UK.  He told me the model, but I forget what it is......will confirm with him.  But it looks pretty close to the one below.  Anyways, I never heard of the brand before and just wanted to know if anyone has any thoughts on this particular brand?

So here's the exact watch......forgot to mention that it was a blue dial.  Really really like it a lot and my buddy is asking $1k for it.  Thoughts?

I really like the look of that especially with the blue dial and rubber strap and the price seems reasonable to me.

Love the watch, $1000 is about what you would pay new in USD on the internet.

Oris is a very solid brand. They don't have the history of the older Swiss companies, but got in early on the mechanical watch renaissance of the late '80s and early '90s. I'd put them somewhere between Hamilton and Longines.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Thanks for the info, guys.  Roger, you're the watch guru here.......what are your thoughts on the price?  The watch is 4 months old, is mint, and he's asking $1k.  Reasonable price?  I just don't know much about this particular brand.

Price doesn't sound out of line. A bit high perhaps, but then the watch is practically new. Best way to gauge price is to go to www.watchrecon.com and use the pull down menus to search for Oris brand watches offered for sale in the last 30 days. That will give you a pretty good idea of the range for used watches of this type.

Sweet looking watch...I've been looking for something in this style and this gives me ideas...
I love it when a plan comes together.

Dude, you don't want to know how many times I've taken the 5:24 train out of Bronte. :) Pic wasn't from yesterday, but the watch and outfit were.

Funny enough, when Tom and I were taking pictures of our S2000s at my place last week, I actually told him that I better mow the lawn (as it was in the background) or else I'd hear it from Snowy!   So off I went to move the lawn in the background before I took any pictures.

Btw Roger, very nice watch!
