Or a piece of black velvet or similar to fix both issues.  Personally, if anything I would elevate the centre a little to keep it closer to the monitor and bring the l/r channel speakers out a bit.

Only if you knew somebody that lived really close by that could come over and help you out.  :stick:

Hahaha, he's been over and that's why I decided to buy a new entertainment unit and lower my TV.  I'm hoping to exchange some detailing work on his S2000 for some proper HT calibration.   ;D

Almost ready to make a call in to Quad on how to outfit this new space. Hopefully will be finished this week.

Nice.  That just reminds me I need to do some painting in my cave.  There's an awful "poo brown" on a couple walls that needs to go...

If you put the TV above a fireplace again, 6' off the ground, I will personally come over and kick you.   ;)

A couple of more pictures of the work in progress. There is a bathroom and laundry and essentially a pretty huge L shaped family room. The floors are porcelain planks with heating in select family areas and bathroom. All in all just over a 1000 sq ft.

Thanks Guys for all the comments. It's been a long process - including just clearing out the basement of 10 years worth of collected stuff.

A bit further along now in the reno. Painting is pretty much complete, still need to grout the bathroom shower and install the glass doors. The washer and dryer are going to fit ;D    add door handles and laundry cabinets, and bar counter left to go.

Looks awesome so far.  Which room are you putting the small brewery in?   Every man cave needs it's own brewery!    ;D
