The coupe looks very good until you get to the hideous rear end. The sedan suffers from the same problem but doesn't have the luxury of looking good, saddled as it is with a shrunken Crosstour body.

Thats my issue with it, its like they had 10 minutes to finish the rear end and they just threw something together. Just horrible, the worst part is Honda can make a great looking coupe, for example:

Sorry.  This is a good looking Honda Coupe:

Yes, that one as well.

Civic reached its apotheosis in 1990.  ;D

I disagree.  Sixth Gen (1995-2000) was the best.  EJ8 or EM1 for me please.

Back to its roots, this Civic is a two door car. But there isn't any similarity! Today Civic is a huge vehicle, comparing with the original. It's a fake hatch tailored to Americans' taste. In Europe the Civic is a real hatch from generations...Sad but may be this is what the market dictates, not my heart...

2 Door Coupes were very popular in the 1960s and 70s and they were merely 2 door versions of sedans mostly with revised trunk and rear roof...they all had trunks...a lift back would be a station wagon. They did look nicer but not as practical though...getting into or out of the rear seat. Easier than now though with larger vehicles back then. Seat belts were always in the way. The wider door made it difficult in parking lots even for the driver. Styles come and go and todays four door cars look great to me.
Back then some tied down the rear suspension to make the hood point upward...for looks...go figure.

Well the putrid nuclear baby vomit green of the test car certainly isn't doing it any favors.

I quite like the look of the sedan and think the coupe looks good, too - though certainly no better - which only reinforces my "what's the point?" impression.

I'm just waiting on the SI and hoping they don't decide to dial up the styling factor any further than where it's at.

They look like "generic upscale car". Audi is a rough approximation.

A huge letdown from a company that used to go its own way.

I hate you.  Now I'm seeing Crosstours everywhere, every time I look at these things.....

This would be such a cooler car if it was a hatchback.

For me no.  My first car was a 2010 Accord Coupe EX-L V6.  I refused to buy the sedan because I loved the coupe's G37 coupe esque profile.  For one I found out I am not a coupe guy and a coupe is a total pain in the butt and Honda's coupe offer nothing more than styling gains.  Unless you got the manual and put ever HFP tune into it the Accord Coupe was just a bloated two door want to be sports car.

Actually for the Civic Touring Coupe you get less features such as the lack of power seats and lack of heated rear seats.  Also a manual for both cars aren't offered yet.

If you drive a stick just wait for the new Civic Si four door
