Quick update here. Spent the last few weekends of barely above 0 weather working on this:
- Rebuilt the rear calipers & replaced the flex lines
- Fixed the e-brake cable
- Replaced all the belts
- Replaced just about every bulb in the car
- Fixed wiring for the front lighting system
- Fixed the center console
- Replaced the passenger side power window motor
- Fix the broken front air dam
- Replaced the hood struts
- Replaced the rear sway bar links
- Properly attached the new (by P.O) window weather stripping
With those repairs the car was in pretty good working order, so I it brought to a friend's shop for a proper inspection. They replaced the front sway bar bushings and the brake master cylinder. I suspected the master cylinder was bad since I was having trouble getting a firm pedal even after bleeding the crap out of the system. But I hate messing around with brakes, so I am happy to have that resolved by someone elses efforts.
I'll get plates and pickup the car Thursday evening and since I've done absolutely nothing in the way cleaning or dealing with the cosmetics, I'll probably spend most of the weekend doing what I can to get it looking presentable. If all goes well I'll have it in service for Monday morning's commute.
Still tons of little fixes and repairs to do, but almost all of them are cosmetic at this point. The biggest being swapping out the seats for the new ones I bought and re-doing the headliner.
