Been still looking at the Tissot T-race collection. Tried it on for size a few days ago, not too big (often a problem for someone smaller like me), styled right.

Oh but must have the fiscal prudence.....

That's a seriously nice looking watch, IMO.  Love the MotoGP version of it as well.

Tissot makes some nice stuff, and reasonably priced too.

A colleague of mine has a brand new, in-the-box Tissot Couturier he's looking to sell... He wants $400 for it. Seems like a very fair price. Ultimately I think I need a nice-ish watch to wear to company events where I'm representing the brand. Thoughts on this one in terms of quality/value?

Incidentally, the only reason he's selling it is because he decided to keep another watch he won in a contest. The other watch is a $9k Panerai. Tough problem to have?

^^^ That's a very sweet deal for a Swiss mechanical chronograph - I'd grab it.

I agree with Roger, that's a sweet watch for the price.  I have three Tissot's now and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another.  If you don't buy it Patrick, give me his contact info and I will.  ;D

Some things are too good to be true  ;). Unfortunately my colleague was mistaken, it wasn't the automatic version! It's the very similar quartz unit:

He's reduced his ask to $350. I'm going to think about it and look around at some options this weekend, but I still think I'm going to pull the trigger. Everyone still think it's worth it?

It's still a solid buy at $350 for the quartz - but it was a screaming deal at $400 for the automatic.

That is a really nice looking watch....I am tempted but I just bought a Timex Weekender for a, well, weekend watch that I won't care too much about if it gets knocked around while doing work around the house.

Yes I know its only $100 but I am a cheap bugger and I have to compensate for the ridiculous increase in tax rates in recent years ;)

I would think a battery powered watch that only does 50 hours before needing a recharge would  not be an ideal choice for someone who intends to spend life on top of mountains.  Mountain range anxiety as it were.

While I was in Ireland last week we went into the Dublin branch of the famous London jewelers Boodles....very posh (had to be buzzed in) One of the people I was with was looking at Patek Phillipe watches. They had a nice selection of both new and vintage. The prices ranged from 15,000 Euros to over 70K....I had no idea  :o

Love it!  My only thought is that the rose gold/white colour combo is currently a fad.  That thing will look dated in a year or two.  Then what?
