Hmmmm VAG already has a crossover that 'slots in above the Touareg'. It is called a Q7 and is made by Audi. Why bother to make another one.

Why are we talking about Touaregs and Q7s? It's pretty clear that this new crossover is aiming at the Highlander/Pathfinder/Lambda triplets market.

The 3rd row on the Highlander was always more theoretical than practical, and nobody looks to VW for an off-roader, so yeah.
