Test Drive: 2013 Mercedes-Benz C 350 4Matic Coupe

Not overtly flashy enough to attract unwanted attention, the C-Class Coupe strikes just the right balance between respectability and youthful sportiness.

After reading that it looks like an accord coupe, I couldn't agree more.

I don't think the Accord Coupe is a particularly bad looking car, though.

A friend just bought a used C300 sedan... I gotta take it for a drive soon :)

The C63, the power and noise make up for the lack of a manual transmission. The rest of the lineup...NO ..kinda sad there MB that Honda offers a manual on their coupe and you dont.
Lighten up Francis.....

The flashy interior with red stitching is appropriate for the AMG but would look tacky on other models.

Recently saw a 6 series BMW 4 door and like what they've done in regards to styling. Definitely does not look like an accord.

A5 is still available with a manual and I expect the 4 series will be as well. Given the market size for premium, manual coupes, I'm sure Mercedes wouldn't gain much by offering it. Although I'd like to see a manual C coupe.

Except for the C63, I can't get excited about the C Class. My impression going from an E Class to a C Class is that the C should cost way less than it does (as in free-fall from the E). In contrast, when I go from an A6 to an A4, I think the A4 is good value...same for BMW, 5 to 3.

I think MB needs to do better with the C.

I agree with this statement.  Everytime in the last 2-3 years that I go to the care show, I always feel disappointed by the C-class.  It's a little too tight, and doesn't feel nearly as nice on the inside as a G37 or A4.

There are few cars on this planet as nice as an Audi when you talk about interiors.

True, but I have been hearing from owners and service techs that the interiors aren't so durable in daily driver use/abuse.  Hopefully they have addressed this.

We reached the same conclusion in 2011 when we were shopping for my wife's new car. The 328 just seemed like better value than the C.

crossed shopped the 4 door version few months ago...dated design and interior...the turbo four was really lacking in power and felt even slower than an A4 (which was pretty slow)... however, it felt lighter, livelier and more compact than the new 3 series

I ended up with an ATS manual 6 spd ... =)

You mean the 4 cylinder version.  The C350 is a V6.     I relooked at the C class while deciding on the B. The C class has less room inside and a much lower seating position which made a lot of difference in my decision although I realize that does not matter to most (younger, smaller or less creaky)  people
