VP for my major client is a big car and racing nut. He is also into online racing simulators and today we sent an hour or so talking and looking at links  :) He sent me a link of the set up he want to do, figures it will cost him a few grand  :P

You almost need a rig like that to get any true educational value out of these things. I've played iRacing on a friend's setup with a fixed seat, and while it's cool, removing the sensory input of vibration and lateral motion makes it very difficult to transfer real-life ability into the game.
Manual gearbox evangelist. Die-hard automotive and motorsport enthusiast. Often found covered in mud.
