I came across a memorial notice in today's paper for a co-worker who died of ALS a few years ago at only 58. It reminded me - again - of the many dear friends and co-workers I've lost in the last 10 or 15 years, two of them within months of each other just last year. What really hurts is that so many of them didn't even make it to retirement, one was only 33 when she was killed, no MURDERED, by a drunk driver last Fall.
The sadness can sometimes be a bit overwhelming but I'll get over it like I always do. Such is life.
My condolences, johngenx. How very awful.
