All you need to know is seeing Rossi's face the first time at the Indy Mile.

They don't run the Indy Mile the same weekend as MotoGP anymore.

I saw it too, gave me goose bumps all over.. I was 18 and a big fan of Kenny Roberts in 1975 when he raced the TZ flat tracker which got banned immediately after the race. Love the video, in those years, all we had were magazines, finally got to hear the sound of that bike, awesome!

that colour is listed on Yamaha's website for $11k...the one for $10,700 is the "grey" one.

Agreed! It's easy to find FZ-09s with little-to-no mileage on them for just over $6k (about $2k less than new). Finding one of those XSRs for around 8500 will be a sweet deal in a year or so.

Not in Alberta.. I know a few people who have been looking for a used one.

I dunno how! Well, maybe if it need all 24 shims for the valve adjustment and they had an inept tech that took huge amounts of time to synch the carbs and they didn't charge book, but instead actual time? Honestly, I did all the tuning work on my bike (luckily I had access to Honda factory tools) but even at dealer rates I can't see how you'd break a grand unless there was something really wrong. Maybe it needed a new timing chain? OMG - that would be a big job.

Yea, very odd. $2,000 sounds closer to a full on engine overhaul.

There's an article on the CBX in the latest issue of Motorcyclist magazine. Nothing earth shattering if you already know about the CBX but a good history lesson for newer riders like me on why this bike was so important to Honda at the time.

I was reading an article in an automotive magazine about how each of the luxury German marques either has a motorcycle or owns a large stake in a motorcycle business and the engineering and technical contributions to/from the respective automotive divisions.

So of course, now I want a BMW S1000RR. I actually remember seeing this on display at BMW Welt a couple years back and was drooling over it there too.
