Turanza Serenity Plus questions/concerns
« on: April 30, 2016, 04:59:25 pm »
I bought a set of these on Wednesday and was all fired up to drive on a set of brand spanking-new rubber after removing my X-Ice tires for the winter. The first day I didn't notice too much except there was a little roar but I thought new tires sometimes do that. Over the last two days, I am getting humming like the dickens and even hear it at low speeds. The 4W alignment was done right afterwards, and there are absolutely no issues with shimmying, pulling, wobbles - I had the car up to 120 km/h today, smooth as glass.

But the roaring is becoming unacceptable.

When I took my car into GCR, no problems with the winter tires and noise - save a teeny bit caused by the typcial grippy tread - so I have ruled out bearing troubles.

Thoughts?

How have other fared using these Serenity Plus tires? I need to go back to the dealer on Monday, I have never had such an issue with Bridgestones before.

Are these tires directional?
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

There is that sign on the side that says "This side out" so they must be directional.....

Nope, that means they're asymmetrical.

odd that the all-seasons have more noise than a winter tread... interesting to hear what the outcome is/was...

Sorry I left you folks in the dark, the bearing on the front passenger side is starting to go - I'll have it replaced this week. Never lost a bearing in my life, now I know what it sounds like anyway....
