:o :o Jesus man.....you should write reviews for countries for Fromers. "Mexico is a quaint, friendly country....except for the mass graves and the good chance you will end up being shipped to your loved ones in a 50 gal drum full of lye."  ;D
Lighten up Francis.....

Thanks again for the kind words, guys.

Alright. Only because it was requested and to be certainly filed under “be careful what you ask for,” i actually do have a travelogue - and I use that term loosely - I’ve been keeping about the trip.

In reality it’s more just a ridiculous blog of stuff that i’ve noticed while here, whilst also documenting my path to becoming a slightly less terrible surfer.

Necessary caveats: It’s long, slightly offensive, and the photos are of impressively poor quality, but hopefully it should all be somewhat entertaining.

It’ll be updated daily until my departure next week..here ya go and my apologies in advance. ;)

Random Mexico Car Update: yesterday a bunch of us piled into our buddy's Nissan rental truck for a day trip. Someone had to ride ‘tail gunner’ in the bed in order to hold down the one board bag, so I volunteered. I’m pretty sure I’ve got bruises now from the combo of bad roads and an overly aggressive New Yorker at the wheel. But it was a cool little truck - a total stripper with a 5-speed and no tach.

Bonus: eagle-eyed folks will spot the Hummer pickup stashed in the driveway. Another friend works as the care-taker for that property and the owners apparently use the Hummer as their daily driver, which is crazy given the narrow roads here but like Fitzgerald said, “the rich are different from you and me.”  :P

I am thoroughly enjoying the updates on your blog...thingie. Keep it up, the part about the casual racism and the rat/chupacabra thing had me howling. Stay safe and have fun!!!
