The diesel makes for a great addition to the line up. My only complaint here would be the infotainment system. For that kind of coin either the new Apple or Android powered systems should already be implemented here. I agree apparently those who made tire choices have never driven in a Canadian winter. Either offer dual sets of tires/rims or better yet all weather tires as standard.

When Range Rovers were known for the Camel Trophy they had a mystique and cool factor. Today, I don't know why anyone would take this over a Mercedes G or hell, a Lexus LX.

Lighten up Francis.....

Let me enlighten you:

- Modern platform
- Styling (inside or outside)
- Availability of a diesel
- Brand cachet
- Way cheaper than a G
- Available LWB version with tons of interior space
- Land Rover/Ranger Rover heritage

The worst ever vehicle offered on Canadian market! Land Rover with its traditionally catastrophic falling residual value, terrible reliability, six digits inflated price and...most unwelcome type of engine here in North America - the diesel...Aside from prince William and his granny, very few others drive it...

Damn right! Also don't forget Land Rovers are inherently racist due to their history as the preferred runabout of aristocratic colonial land owners and hey did you hear there's a special off-road mode for running over small children?

Which is why it's even sweeter that the brand is owned by Tata, an Indian company.

Lexus is $105K and there are no options.  The Range Rovers are overpriced.  But, if you really want the RR, just wait a little bit as they depreciate like a giant boulder dropped into the ocean.

Please tell me about all the other six-figure cars that are so immensely popular.

Last year they sold just 25 fewer Range Rovers than S-classes.

In fact, I can't find any vehicles that are as expensive as the Range Rover that sell better.

Oh, and sales more than doubled last month despite the fact that the "unwelcome" engine replaced the base gas engine and the price went up by $8k.

1101 in 2015. 114 in January vs. 56 last year.

Mercedes sold 1126 S-classes last year, but only 40 in January.

Yeah that's still cool. Would much rather have that than a Lexus.
