Grant Yoxon concludes that the XFR-S caters to a customer that would not likely be able to afford this ultra-high-performance sedan.

The XFR-S is an ultra-high performance track car that takes 4.6 seconds to reach 100kph?

The reason people won't buy it is because it's too slow. A garden variety A6 3.0 isn't that far off.

Seems like Jag is grasping at straws here considering their styling cues.
Interestingly, Aston Martin has seemed to hit the right note with similar buyers.

The author is exactly right in his analysis of this car.  People in that price bracket (and even people without the means) don't usually want something this gaudy unless they're 17 years old maybe.  Jaguar is reaching here.  Even a Mustang GT has this performance potential and without the stupid wing.  The Mustang at least has the spoiler delete option.  Does this have it too?  For that money I would hands down get the Panamera or the Quatroporte.

when I first read the title of this it gets my blood boil .... FR-S is going to have a Sedan version in 2014  :o  :o  :o ?????

Damn, it turns out to be a 100 grand Jaguar, another toy for the rich    :-[

I am driving a 2008 civic Si Sedan and a FR-S/BRZ sedan is sure going to be my top list when is time to replace the civic.

I certainly don't consider myself a boyracer type of person, especially being 40 years old.........BUT I'd drive this in a heartbeat!  The interior is a little "meh", especially for the price, and the rear spoiler is a little over the top for me.....but otherwise I think it looks pretty damn hawt!  Absolutely love the colour too!  Yeah, I don't think I'd have any issues driving this.

Not saying that I would pick this over some of the competition, but it's still a pretty damn sexy Sedan IMHO.

The standard XFR is a bit quicker than that. Manufacturer estimates are typically quite conservative.

I doubt they'll have any problem moving 100 of these.

AWD vs RWD makes up for a lot in 0-60, after the first 2 seconds I bet the Jag is stupid fast compared to the Audi.

i like that they have at least attempted to do a sports car...

sure it has missed a few marks, but as others have said, they'll sell all they build considering its a limited run.
