Thanks James.  I am not sure about the value of it when $9 shipping is added to the order.

Does CT have something similar to this product?

still a good deal if you ask me.   a 32oz bottle is $16 usd, directly from Optimum.  do the exchange and you get $21.  add shipping to that and youre a few dollars over my price.  Does Canadian tire have something similar?  probably.  does it work as well as ONR?  doubt it.

We have better pricing than Amazon, and other online stores.

Free shipping on order over $150 also. :)

once you add everything you need to properly wash and protect a cars paint and interior, spending $150 is very easy :)

How large of a pressure spray bottle do you use? And is 1 bottle enough for an entire car? Where can I get this bottle? Thanks

Found the pressure bottles advertised online at Canadian Tire. So I guess the 8 liter metal bottle will work with an ounce of your product for 1 vehicle?

This stuff is amazing. Add a couple of capfuls to my car wash to boost lubricity and prevent scratches. Make bottles of quick detailer. Thought about getting the gallon jug but the 32 oz bottle has lasted me a couple of years.

nice! a 128oz bottle lasts me close to a year.

I have a customer who isn't even half way through his 128oz ONR jug and it's been on his shelf for 2 years now.

My question is can this be used in winter if the place where one is washing the car is at below freezing? Will the spray just freeze over on the car before it can be wiped off? i.e. does one necessarily need a heated garage to use this product in winter? If it can be used below freezing I will get the 128 oz container.

Sounds like a great multipurpose product. My only issue that this this product/method seems great for getting the visible painted surfaces clean; but in the winter my main concerns are getting the wheel wells and underside of the car flushed out and clean from salt. This product wouldn't help with that, so I'd still be dragging out the hose to rinse the wells and underbody.
Even in "lightly salted" examples like Jame's car in these pics....those wheel wells are going to be full of salt and should be flushed out.

I'd see myself using this more so in the warmer months for the non-daily driven cars; they're usually not so dirty that I need to worry about the wells or underside, and this method would avoid spraying tons of water on the car (which is always a good thing).

this product is all I use in my own details.  combine the two bucket method and the wheel woolies, and I have no issues cleaning wheel barrels and wheel wells.

on heavily soiled wheels, I'll take out the sonax, but that's pretty rare.  elbow grease, ONR, and good wheel brushes go a long way.

since this solution is mixed with water, yes it will freeze.  my old garage wasn't heated though, nor was it insulated.  once a hot vehicle was parked in there for longer than 10 minutes it never got below freezing and had good results washing the car in the garage.

this is the one I use:

http://www.canadacarcare.ca/products/sonaxpumpvaporiseracidic

This is the 2 US gallon (8 liter) for $34.99
http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/chapin-poly-sprayer-with-extended-pump-2-gal-0594001p.html#.VlXPMtKrRkg

This 4 liter is cheaper at $19.99
http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/chapin-yard-garden-poly-sprayer-0593930p.html#.VlXP-9KrRkg

And this 2 liter is $9.99
http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/spray-maker-manual-pressure-sprayer-0593837p.html#.VlXQPtKrRkg

Your 1.5 liter at $47 is expensive.
2L at 9.99 is what I'd pick up.  mix in an ounce with water and start cleaning.

I am not trying to put down the product at all - it honestly looks like it does an excellent job and for 95+% of people out there this is more than good enough for their needs. And yes, I imagine that if a car has plastic wheel well liners you could theoretically clean them out with a product like this, provided that you've got enough clearance around the wheel to get in there with something. But there's no way you're getting the salt off of the cars underbody; floor pans, suspension components, etc no matter how many brushes and MF towels you've got.
For me, that's my main concern in the winter...but like I said, the majority of people just want the car to look clean and shiney and probably don't give a second thought to stuff like that.

yes, good points about the underbody, I'm in the middle of rebuilding a car, and I am using ONR to clean the entire underbody and suspension, but it's also 2 feet in the air on jack stands so easily done.

what is your process of cleaning the underbody in the winter?

Yeah, when you've got access, and it's not a car you're going to taking right back out into the salt, that'd work beauty.

With my DD's (20 and 30 year old F-bodies); weekly (when salt is around) I'll break of the garden hose and thoroughly flush the wheel wells and do the best I can to rinse down the underside. Then at least a few times a season I'll take it to a friend's lube shop afterhours so I can use the pit (which is equipped with a pressure washer) to give it a good flush. I try to minimize the use of high pressure as it does wear off the Krown oil protection that I religiously use.
Come spring I'll do one last thorough garden hose rinse, let it dry and then bring the car up onto the lift in my garage. Wipe any remaining salt off with something like WD40. And re-treat any dry areas with more oil based rust proofing (recently I've been using Formula 3000, but Krown does the job too).

I am definitely extreme; but it's been worth the effort for me as I've managed to keep these cars completely rust free and on the road way longer than would be possible otherwise.

If I take the hose out at -40 it instantly freezes.  Must be nice to live in the GTA :P

I disconnect the hose, drain it and bring it into the basement to prevent that. The tap in my garage usually stays warm enough to not freeze, when it does I heat it up with a little propane torch. The bigger problem when it gets really cold is the water freezing the instant it hits the car - on those days I just leave the car alone, if the temps are that low the salt isn't active anyway.
