I kinda wondered about the timing too.  Should have just put the article away somewhere and published it in September or October.

KalTire here in BC has been flogging winter tires on TV ads this past week or so, the kind of ad that should run in September/November (ie not a winter tire clearance sale or anything like that).  So I do wonder about timing of this sort of stuff.

Yeah, this one shoulda been held till the fall (sadly such decisions aren't up to me). That said, we get tons of search hits on winter tires every October/November, so this'll get read plenty when the time comes. Maybe we'll re-run it.
I used to work here.

Who is it up to then?  What kind of ding dong makes these decisions?  Someone who's clueless about cars??

When James (wing) writes winter tire reviews, he usually doesn't submit it till the next fall, or suggests it be held till then. Grant had no such thought, I guess, and neither did Greg.

Actually, the timing works for me. I'm looking at replacing a worn set of winter tires so I was happy to see this review.

Pretty sure it was just last weekend that Canadian Tire was advertising a 60% off their Michelin XIce 2's (XIce 3 due out next fall I guess). We just bought a van so saving 60% off what I'd have to pay in the fall is a smoking deal for me. Not to mention those whose snows have given up the ghost. Odd for sure to have a snow tire review in the spring - but hardly deserves the ridicule that its getting here.
My other Honda is an MP4-31!
