Mine started off with having to take my boyfriend, who was in severe abdominal pain at 7:30 tonight, to the ER. Turns out it's a kidney stone measuring 1 cm, which is considered large, and will have to be ultrasonically shattered before it can pass through his pee pee. My guy is the type to never complain about anything - he drove himself to a hospital once, after shattering his arm doing work at his remote property up north. To see him writhing in pain tonight, trembling and drenched in sweat until they got him IV meds, was rather gut-wrenching.
I'm glad I was able to be there for him.
I am grateful for my country, and the for the amazing care and concern received from everyone in that healthcare facility - all for free. Go, Canada!
