This weekend Ms.Flinter and I went to Gros Morne Park to attend the spring festival called Trails, Tales and Tunes. Here are a few landscapes from our excursion.

  Gros Morne is high on my list of places to hike.
Great spot for a outdoor vacation for sure.

There are several nice day trails.

I'd like to hike the Long Range Traverse some time.

We didn't want to waste a beautiful evening so the missus and I went out for some tea and a stroll on the beach. It was amazingly calm and quiet, and other than a few boats on the water and another couple enjoying the serenity there wasn't a soul in sight.

You can barely see them in the first shot, but those boats in the second pic were taken from exactly the same spot with my Canon SX-50 at full zoom. It's hand-held and consequently a bit fuzzy, but that camera never ceases to amaze me even after almost two years of constant use

What body of water is that and do you know what they are fishing?

Nice shots and nice scenery BTW

^^ Thank you, this really is a beautiful area.

I took those pics from Kinsmen Beach at the north end of Okanagan Lake. I've seen what looks like a small fishing trawler moored on the lake a number of times but AFAIK there's no commercial fishing activity. Otherwise it's mostly Kokanee and lake trout.

Great shots. Flinter!     I think the overcast skies actually make for a better final result.

Your photos only confirm why I want to visit Newfoundland & Labrador for a week or two.  Going to Gros Morne has long been on my bucket list.

I agree. Looks to be a challenging route and love how having a SPOT is mandatory equipment. Wonder how many people have had to push the button.
